About Me

Cory Huffine
Father, husband, adventurer, nurse practitioner

I am very fortunate to live this life!  I am the proud father of Olivia and Isabel, my wonderful little girls.  Thank you to my wife Esther who has brought me more joy than I ever imagined.  We are lucky to live in Boise, Idaho, close to family and friends. My free time is spent with family and in the outdoors as often as possible.  My daughter Olivia’s favorite word is “Outside” and I think she’s got it figured out.  Being “outside” should be our goal more often than not.

My career in healthcare as a nurse practitioner has given me the opportunity to interact with people of all walks of life.  As a result I have become intrigued by people of different cultures.  I currently work in family practice, urgent care, and research, and through these experiences in medicine as well as my time with one particular colleague (thanks Eric!), I have learned that medicine can indeed be combined with travel and adventure.

This blog will continue to document my journey to combine my career in medicine with my passions, however, my passions have evolved in recent years and I will be including my family on this journey as often as possible.

There’s much to see, many people to meet, and much to do.  As dear friend used to say, “Cory, you should really experience this”!  Thanks, I will.  And I will take my family along for the ride.

Blue Sky Happy Day
