Yup.  And I’ve got a few things to share.

My Wedding, My Wife Esther

It has been some time since I have posted, but my adventures continue.  While I have not scaled any peaks or caught many monster fish lately (I have caught a few), my journey continues to humble me.  2012 was a year full of adventure and change.  2013 brought a wedding and my first child, Olivia Anne, born August 6th, 2013.

My wife and I moved to the suburbs and I settled into a family life with my daughter and my two teenage step-children.  2013 brought a lot of new experiences. My family has become my life.  Who knew?  Of course everyone talks about how children change your life.  And from an intellectual standpoint, I got it. Or thought so.  It seems that life isn’t all cerebral.  My daughter was born and I feel it in my chest.  When I look at her, I know she’s the best of me.  This is the lump in the throat, chest tightening, brings a tear to your eye kind of thing that many of us are often guilty of avoiding.  Not me.  I say bring it on.  So we had another one.

Isabel Carolyn was born on November 5th, 2014.  She came out fast and furious, but has been mellow and full of smiles ever since.  She’s my smiley little baby and has the beautiful temperament of her mother.

2015? Well, it has arrived so we sold our house.  We moved closer to the river and trails, I’ve changed jobs, and we are continuing this epic journey!  Every day brings it with these two precious little girls.  My wife holds it all together.  I’m on a killer ride.  Let the adventure continue!
